Prof. Dato’ Dr. Aileen Tan Shau Hwai

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Aileen Tan Shau Hwai is a Professor in the School of Biological Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, currently serving as Director of the Centre for Marine and Coastal Studies (CEMACS) and Executive Director of APUCEN. Her expertise spans marine ecology, mariculture, and mollusc conservation. Professor Pham Thi Hoa 

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Thi Hoa is an environmental scientist specializing in applied chemistry and microbiology for pollution remediation. Her research spans groundwater and wastewater treatment, sustainable agriculture in Vietnam, phosphate leaching in acid sulfate soils and microbial transformation of plastics in marine environments. She also focuses on the impacts of human activities on environmental quality. Beyond research, she is committed to education for sustainable development, particularly building teacher capacity to achieve SDG 4: Quality Education.

Dr. Japareng Lalung

Dr. Japareng Lalung is an Associate Professor at the School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia and Coordinator of RCE Penang at the Centre for Global Sustainability Studies. Professor Dr. Chai Lay Ching

Dr. Chai Lay Ching is a microbiologist, professor, and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education) at Sunway University. Her research focuses on infectious microorganisms, food safety, and microbial risk assessment. Recipient of the L’Oréal-UNESCO Women in Science Award (2018) and Asian Women Entrepreneurs Leadership Award (2019), she actively promotes innovation and entrepreneurship. She has led the Young Scientists Network-ASM, mentored young academics, and contributed significantly to higher education, research, and entrepreneurial development in Malaysia and Asia.

Jaffri Ibrahim is the founding CEO of Collaborative Research in Engineering, Science and Technology (CREST). With a career spanning entrepreneurship, consulting, and leadership roles at Oracle, Arthur Andersen, and Cap Gemini, he has extensive experience in technology and business advisory. Before CREST, he was Vice President at Malaysia Debt Ventures (MDV) Bhd. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science with a minor in Business Studies from the University of Iowa, USA.

A former member of the MTVET National Council, he contributed to Malaysia’s TVET transformation.

Dr. Amni Suhailah binti Abarahan is a Lecturer and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Finance, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam. Dr. Dang Viet Quang is a lecturer and researcher at Phenikaa University, Vietnam. He holds a PhD with expertise in the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, particularly mesoporous and functionalized silica.
